PEABODY, MA — (www.northshore-bank.com) North Shore Bank recently met with representatives of the Greater Beverly YMCA to present them with a $10,000 contribution for the organization’s 10th annual golf tournament. The event, scheduled for Monday, September 11th at the Essex County Club, raises funds that will provide additional support to the programs offered to children, adults and families in the greater Beverly area.

Tim Flaherty, Executive Director of the Greater Beverly YMCA said of the Bank’s contribution:

We are so thankful for the support of North Shore Bank, not only for the contribution to the golf tournament but for all their years of support of our Y. It truly has an impact in our community for those who need it most.

Kevin M. Tierney, Sr., Chief Executive Officer of North Shore Bank complimented the Greater Beverly YMCA for their work and added:

We are proud to be a part of this great event which raises money for these valuable programs. This commitment was a great opportunity for the Bank to support the children and families in our community.

The Greater Beverly YMCA serves more than 11,000 members and provides more than $900,000 in financial assistance. In addition to sports programs, camps and licensed child-care, the YMCA also provides affordable housing to North Shore residents.

The Greater Beverly YMCA is part of the YMCA of North Shore, which is comprised of seven local YMCAs that have joined together or been developed over the last decade and a half to create one YMCA association.
