We praise them for their dedication and commitment to small businesses.

Mike Wheeler, President and Chief Operating Officer of Beverly Bank, a Division of North Shore Bank, said of the award:

I am especially proud of this honor since it recognizes the bank’s firm commitment to serve those who have sacrificed for all of us.” He continued, “Lending to a Veteran owned business makes sense from both a community and business point of view. Veterans are disciplined, hardworking and do what is necessary to succeed.

Bob Nelson, SBA MA District Director said:

Congratulations to the bank for finishing 15th in the statewide lender rankings this fiscal year. We applaud them for consistently serving entrepreneurs in the Commonwealth by providing the capital needed to start, grow and expand small businesses.  Supporting entrepreneurship is one of SBA’s most important initiatives and so we are delighted to recognize Beverly Bank as champions in this effort.

Created in 1953, the U.S. Small Business Administration continues to help small business owners and entrepreneurs pursue the American dream. The SBA is the only cabinet-level federal agency fully dedicated to small business and provides counseling, capital, and contracting expertise as the nation’s only go-to resource and voice for small businesses.
