Pathways for Children – Jeans Day

When Mary Beth O'Connell, Vice President and Mortgage Originator for North Shore Bank, heard Kim Paratore, Pathways for Children Manger of Special Events and Campaigns, speak at a local Rotary meeting, she instantly thought of the bank's Jeans Day program. Once she learned more about how Pathways makes such an immediate impact in the community, and saw the passion that Kim had for helping children, she knew that her fellow NSB employees could lend a hand.

North Shore Bank recently donated $1,200 to Pathways for Children, proceeds were given by bank employees as part of the Bank's Jeans Day program.

Pathways is a leading provider of education and care programs on the North Shore of Massachusetts, serving over 500 children and their families from 13 communities. Their year-round programming, including Head Start and Early Head Start, serves children from birth to age 13 and their families. Their comprehensive, all-inclusive educational programming offers meals, nutrition assessment, health and developmental screenings, referrals for special education services, family support, enrichment programs and transportation when necessary.
The funds raised are being used for our North Shore Head Start classroom to purchase much-needed clothing for the young children. Our teachers appreciate this generous gift and we are thankful to have North Shore Bank as a partner in our community.
