They say that charity starts at home. So, when School Committeeman Jarrod Hochman and local business owners Dennis and Michele Feld saw a need to help the children and families in Peabody who have food insecurities, they made it thier mission to start No Child Goes Hungry In Peabody. Their goal was to provide elementary students between first and eigth grade whose famililes qualify for free school breakfast and lunch, with backpacks containing food and snacks for the weekend.

Educating and promoting the wellness of the children in our community has always been a priority for North Shore Bank. So when it was time to choose a recipient of our Jeans Day Dollars in April of 2022, No Child Goes Hungry In Peabody was an obvious choice. Donating $5 each Friday for the opportunity to wear Jeans to work, NSB employees were able to raise $1,000 for this worthy cause.

"We at No Child Goes Hungry in Peabody, Corp., couldn't function without community partners like North Shore Bank. This donation from the bank's employees will allow us to provide fresh fruit to nearly 300 students for 6 weeks. How awesome is that?"
