Abington Bank donates $5k to Friends of Abington Seniors

Abington, Massachusetts — October 9, 2024

Abington Bank, a division of North Shore Bank, and its charitable giving program, The Giving Tree, recently donated $5,000 to Friends of Abington Seniors, Inc., and their mission to support senior citizens in our community.

Friends of Abington Seniors aims to raise and disburse funds for the benefit of senior citizens aged 60 and above living in the Town of Abington. Disbursements are used to support projects, events, programs, special activities or needs to enrich the lives of Abington’s senior citizens, including support for the Abington Senior Center.

“Abington Bank is proud to support the care and well-being of seniors in our community,” said Abington Bank Senior Banking Officer Andrew J. Raczka, who recently retired as president and CEO. “We strive to enrich lives and bring people together, and we know Friends of Abington Seniors does just that. No matter how much life changes over the years, one thing remains the same: our commitment to helping our communities unlock their potential.”

Abington Bank’s charitable giving program, The Giving Tree, reflects the roots the bank has in its communities, its commitment to making a real difference in the neighborhoods it serves, and the belief that everyone’s quality of life is enhanced when we work to solve our communities’ biggest problems – together.
